INCOMING STUDENTS FOR STUDIES
International exchange students are accepted within the framework of a bilateral agreement between Bursa Technical University and the partner university. Exchange students are enrolled in courses and carry out the procedures in light of the terms determined in the bilateral agreement.

The application and registration procedure for incoming Erasmus+ Students are summarized here-below.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR APPLICATION
* Incoming students need to present the following documents in order to complete their registration as an incoming Erasmus+ student at Bursa Technical University:
- 1- Copy of legal ID card or passport,
- 2- Transcript of Records in English (which shows your previous studies),
- 3- 1 (one) Passport type photograph (jpg format)
REGISTRATION STEPS
(1) Fill in the Bursa Technical University Student Application Form. The application form must be filled by using a computer. All parts of the form must be filled. Contact addresses of the home university and the student's contact address must be correct in order for us to send the acceptance letters properly. The application form must be signed by the student and stamped by the International Office of the home university. Application forms without the proper signature and stamp will be invalid and will not be accepted.
(2) The Student Application Form is supplemented by an OLA (Online Learning Agreement), which details the selected course units. Contact your Deparmental/Faculty Erasmus+ Coordinator on how to fill in the online learning agreement. Specific details about Bursa Technical University are given here.
PLEASE NOTE THAT:
You need to get in contact with your Erasmus Departmental Coordinator in your home University and the Erasmus Departmental Coordinator at Bursa Technical University about which courses will be relevant and recognized as a contribution to your own degree programme.
All classes (unless mentioned otherwise) are held in Turkish. Professors may offer reading materials and exams in English, but classes are taught in Turkish.You can find all the courses offered at BTU by clicking here.
(3) The OLA (Online Learning Agreement) has to be signed by the student, your Erasmus Departmental/Faculty Coordinator or your Institutional Coordinator. If the proposed Learning Agreement is acceptable, the receiving Departmental Coordinator and the Institutional Coordinator of Bursa Technical University will sign the Agreement and a copy of it will be returned to your International Office. This procedure ensures that all those involved know exactly what you will study at Bursa Technical University. Without the confirmation of the Learning Agreement, an acceptance letter can not be issued.
(4) You can contact the Departmental Erasmus Coordinator at Bursa Technical University of your field of study for further information. He/she will be your contact in Bursa Technical University. You can also contact with our International Office before coming to Türkiye for all your questions about the application procedures etc.

(5) These completed forms along with other application documents must be scanned and sent to erasmus@btu.edu.tr.
PLEASE NOTE THAT: The deadline for application,
- is the 15th of May for Autumn semester,
- is the 15th of November for the Spring semester.
AFTER APPROVAL
(6) After receiving the Department's/Faculty's approval, a letter of Acceptance will be issued to you. The Acceptance Letter will be sent to the home university International Office Address or the student's personal email address.
(7) You must take the Letter of Acceptance to the nearest Turkish Consulate and apply for the Student Visa. The student visa is required for registration at Bursa Technical University and getting a residence permit. This visa cannot be obtained within Türkiye after your arrival. You should allow a suitable timeframe for the visa to be processed.
(8) Please inform our International Office as soon as possible on your date of arrival and departure. The Orientation Programme will be sent to the e-mails of the students before they arrive.
(9) Please note that exchange students are not covered by medical insurance. Be certain you have emergency/hospital coverage by getting a health insurance policy valid in Türkiye before coming. Bursa Technical University is not responsible from the students who arrive without a proper health insurance.
(10) You will need to get a resident permit during your study period in Türkiye. It is necessary to get a valid health insurance to apply for a residence permit.
UPON ARRIVAL IN BURSA, TÜRKİYE
(1) Upon your arrival, please contact our International Office as soon as possible for your administrative and registration procedures.
(2) A Bursa Technical University Student Card will be given to the student upon arrival. Students must send photos stated in the application documents to get a student card.
(3) Contact your Erasmus Departmental Coordinator in Bursa Technical University so that he/she knows you have arrived and can help you with your study program and academic issues. Our International Relations Office will direct you to the related Erasmus Coordinator.
DURING MOBILITY
(1) During your studies in Bursa Technical University, there can be some changes in your original Learning Agreement. In that case, you should fill the “Changes to Learning Agreement” form. The form will be sent to International Relations Office via your Department/Faculty officially. Then International Relations Office will send the document directly to your home university for their approval. In order to issue your Transcript of Records correctly and on time, Changes to Learning Agreement is very important.
AFTER MOBILITY
(1) At the end of semester, an official copy of Transcript of Records will be posted to your International Office.
